Not everything foreign is good

The worst selling vehicle in 2008? The Hyundai Entourage. Why does this not get more press? Everything from the foreign auto makers is not gold. Ford has the best selling car and Hyundai has the worst - who makes better cars? Who responds to consumer demand?

  1. There's a new best-selling vehicle in America, and for the first time in 17 years, it's not a pickup truck.

"Cars outsold the top-selling Ford F-series truck in May for the first time since 1992, a sign of the rapid shift in customers' preferences from trucks and SUVs to small cars"

  2. Thanks for your comments The Dreamer. However both of your sales figures of June 2008 represent the mid-year totals. When I was searching for best selling vehicle 2008, many of the links were to articles like the ones above. That shows how big of a deal it was for the F150 to get passed, even at the mid year mark as that had not happened since 1991. It is perhaps even more remarkable then that the F150 held the overall sales title even after getting passed while fighting $3-4 gas. If gas had stayed in that range, perhaps the cars could have held their lead.
